Looking along the top of the facades of Dame Street Dublin, near Dublin Castle. Rising up in the foreground is one of Dublin's magnificent ornate street lamps, and in the background, the Central Bank of Ireland building. There was much controversy when the new Bank of Ireland building was put up in the 1970s. It had to be reduced in height after construction. Maybe it should have been even smaller.
