The Volcano Fountain stands on the Corniche overlooked by apartment buildings on one side and the Gulf on the other. Designed with the conical shape of a volcano, hidden lights colour the water orange.

Update 2004: As part of the large scale redevelopment of the Corniche, the Volcano Fountain has been removed. Updated pictures of the Corniche will appear on this site when the work is completed.

I'm very sad the Volcano Fountain has gone as I've stood on it many times with friends, relatives and colleagues. It's part of 'my' Abu Dhabi. I lived in the UAE from 5 Sept 1992 to 15 July 1996.
