Looking from the end of Al-Diyafah Street not far from Jumeirah, and the giant flagpole which stands at the southern end of the Dubai 'mina', Arabic for 'port'. At the base of the flagpole are stylised shells with lights in the form of pearls. The brown tourist signs indicate that Jumeirah Beach and Dubai Zoo are left at the lights. The Dry Dock is in the port to the right. Also to the left is the Mercato Centre. About the photos This image is from the portfolio of Aidan O'Rourke photographer writer website publisher.
