Section 1a Principles of photography
We go back to basics and take a look at Exposure. It's very important to understand this confusing and often neglected subject in order to make sense of aperture, shutter speed, ISO and the other data the camera presents to you. Students will receive copies of my digital photography crib cards as well as other handouts and worksheets.

Section 1b Main camera contols
Next, we relate what we have learned to the most important controls on the camera, ensuring we have covered all the main features of the cameras used by people in today's group. These can include Nikon, Canon, Panosonic, Fuji and others including compact cameras.

Section 2 - guided photoshoot
Now it's time to put principles into practice and do some outdoor shooting with the aim of creating unique and well-crafted images. I will provide constant commentary, feedback and will do Q&A to check your knowledge.

For those still keen to continue, there will be an opportunity for some socialising after the shoot!

It's a packed six hours but there will be plenty of information and inspiration with some entertainment thrown in as well!

Course fee is £60
