Client showcase: 'Stress the Workplace and the Law' conferenceI have received this press release from one of my clients, Meridian Conferences, about their conference 'Stress, the Workplace and the Law ', which could provide vitally important information to anyone involved in HR, Health and Safety or employment law. I'll be taking photos at the event, which is taking place at the Cafe Royal, Regent St, London on 19-20 April 2007.
PRESS RELEASE BEGINS: 'Stress, the Workplace and the Law' is a prestigious conference taking place in London on 19 - 20 April 2007, addressing the legal obligations of organisations and employers to protect their employees from stress in the workplace. Among the speakers at the conference will be: Peter Talibart, Global Head of Employment Law with Norton Rose International Lawyers Dr Eric Teasdale, Global Head of Health and Wellbeing at AstraZeneca Professor Cary Cooper, the world-renowned expert on 'Stress in the Workplace' and first choice TV and media commentator on the subject Professor Ivan Robertson, Advisor to the Cabinet and Managing Director of Robertson Cooper Ltd Carolyn Woolley, HR Director at City of London Police Peter Rowe, Former Head of HR at Somerset County Council A full agenda can be found online, and a PDF brochure is available for download. The focus of the conference is centred on the analysis of important legal developments and case studies of situations where organisations have failed to address the issue of Stress to comply with established standards and have incurred massive public and/or private liabilities. The programme also aims to provide delegates with the knowledge to be able to formulate solutions from both a strategic legal and business management perspective. The audience will mainly include senior HR, Health and Safety, and Legal Managers from the private sector, along with those from local government, police and emergency services, and Primary Care Trusts. Delegates can expect to receive the most relevant and up-to-date legal information, and to take a detailed look at exposure to liability, with the aim of being able to deliver sector specific solutions. To that end there will also be a set of tutored workshops for each of the relevant sectors on the following morning, 20 April, at which delegates who choose to stay on for this additional session will be able to engage with colleagues from similar organisations with a view to establishing solutions blueprints. Please do not hesitate to contact on 07766 338145 to receive fast-track registration for the conference, or for any additional information. Andy Quinn
