Towering above Piccadilly is the Sunley Tower office building, part of Piccadilly Plaza, completed 1965. To the right is Mosley Street and off the picture frame, Market St. A Metrolink tram swings round to the right on its way to Piccadilly Metrolink stop. The small building on the right appeared as part of Manchester City Council's controversial 2000-2002 Piccadilly redevelopment plan

Composite mage created for the Destinations Manchester CD cover. I stood in Piccadilly for over an hour with camera and tripod capturing a selection of images for use here. Generally speaking the new Piccadilly looks rather less ugly and alienating at night than it does by day.
