Abu Dhabi on the Mersey is created in this montage of the waterfront of Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, superimposed onto the Liverpool waterfront. There is considerable debate about whether it should be developed on a low-rise or a high-rise basis. This montage, with the Abu Dhabi reversed horizontally to match the perspective, gives an idea of how Liverpool might look if it was developed in the style of the Gulf.

Comparison between cities is a major theme of this website - Whether a Gulf-style waterfront would be suited to the North West's most spectacular city waterfront is open to debate.
