The Lord and Lady Mayoress of the City of Manchester paid an official visit to the Victoria Baths Open Day, Sunday 2 October 2005, Here the Mayor tries his hand at playing the African drum. Stalls and displays were on the theme of Black History Week.
The Lord Mayor did a good job of playing the drums. The gist of his brief speech was that in Manchester today, we are lucky today to have such wide variety of cultures, religions and peoples from different parts of the world, making Manchester a truly world class city.
