The Tree of Lights ceremony is an annual service of commemoration organised by St Ann's Hospice in association with Manchester Cathedral. The service is intended for all those with connections to St Ann's Hospice, whether patients, relatives of patients, staff, benefactors or anyone else, irrespective of faith. In the middle of the ceremony, all present hold up a candle. Then the Christmas Tree lights are switched on. This is another well-organised and well-attended event on the busy St Ann's Hospice calendar.
