Corporation St Manchester city centre in 1992. On the left is Marks & Spencers and the pedestrian bridge is staight ahead.
Four years later, on a sunny Saturday morning like this one, terrorists parked a white van packed with explosives just across the street to the left, next to the yellow sign. After warning calls were received, there was only just enough time to evacuate thousands of people before it exploded, devastating this part of the city centre, and changing the face of Manchester forever.
