Panoramic image of St Peters Square Manchester around dusk time on 30 November 1996. The round building the left is Manchester Central Library and next to it, the triangular outline of the town hall extension with its steep roof. Both these buildings originate in the 1930s. The rectangular block on the right is Elisabeth House, built in the early 70s. To the left of Elisabeth House, is Century House, built 1937.

It's a cold, rainy November afternoon in Manchester. St Peters Square has seen many changes in the past century. Elisabeth House was to have been demolished, and was vacated, but the plans were put on hold. Most people dislike Elisabeth House, but I think it has some merits and should be retained and renovated. This is a composite panorama made of three photos joined together. Due to distortion, where two photos meet, the Metrolink wires are at angle.
