The Daresbury Tower is a concrete structure that's part of the Daresbury Laboratory, now the Daresbury Science and Innovation Centre. The tower is used for scientific research. It's visible over a wide area to the west of Warrington.

The Daresbury Tower is one of the iconic landmarks of north west England. LIke Jodrell Bank radio telescope it is symbolic of scientific research, an area that is all to vulnerable to cuts in funding. In my opinion it's a very striking and interesting piece of modern architecture. More information on the function of the tower to be added.
