The Frauenkirche Dresden was consecrated on 30 October 2005. Thousands of people came to Dresden for the occasion. They gathered by the Frauenkirche on the Altmarkt where there was live tv coverage relayed via a big screen. The viewpoint is on the platform next to the MDR transmission centre.
