Panorama of the Berlin Wall at Potsdamer Platz taken December 1982. Behind the 10 foot high concrete wall is the so -called 'death strip' with GDR government buildings and East Berlin city centre beyond. I studied German 1976-1981 and spent one year in West Berlin 1979-1980 as an Assistant Teacher. This photo was taken on a return visit to Berlin in December 1982. 13 years later I scanned the four negatives and joined them together to make this panorama, which was used in the book 'Berlin Ostbahnhof Europas' by Karl Schlögel.
