A 130 degree panorama taken from the south bank of the Tyne in Jarrow. Facotry and dock buildings can be seen on the north side. Boats are moored in a line about 20 feet from the pedestrian walkway next to the river. The scene appears empty. Most of the shipyards have closed, and very few ships come up the river these days. But at other points along the river, regeneration is in progress.
