Pencil drawing of Notre Dame Cathedral and the River Seine, done in July 1977. Notre Dame is situated on the Ile de la Cite, in the centre of Paris.

This drawing was undertaken during my July 1977 stay in Paris, my first trip to a foreign country, when I did a summer course at the Sorbonne, Centre Censier. In the mornings I learnt French and in the afternoon I did the course in modern art, with visits to galleries in Paris.
