Irish language plaque in Irish style script in memory of Father Matthew on Fr Matthew Bridge Dublin.

The sign reads: Droichead an Athar Maitiú - Mar chuimhne ar thúis asbolacht an athar tiobóid maitiú o.m.cap.i n-aghaidh an ólacháin céad bliadhain ó shoin is eadh tugadh ath-ainm ar an droichead so. 1838-1938.

The gist of the inscription is that the bridge was renamed in 1938 on the 100th anniversary of the birth of Father Matthew.
