Looking down Lower Baggot Street from the junction with Merrion Street.

Though this is a main route out of Dublin city centre, the scale and architectural style of the streetscape are late 18th century in character. Despite the development in progress, many areas of Dublin remain mostly unspoilt by modernisation. A strong aura of the past is one of Dublin's main assets and a reason for tourists to visit.
