O'Connell Bridge House is a modernist style 11 storey office building completed in the mid-sixties. it was designed by Desmond Fitzgerald. It is one of the tallest buildings in Ireland. It underwent refurbishment in recent years. More info on the Irish Architecture website. O'Connell Bridge House is said to be one of Ireland's most hated buildings - see Google 3D warehouse, because it is out of scale with the surrounding older buildings. But perversely, I like it! It was one of a small but significant number of modernist style buildings to appear in Dublin in the 50s and 60s. The construction can clearly be seen on a 1964 photo of O'Connell St on Wikipedia.
