View towards the two chimneys of Riingsend Power Station, as seen from the ferry MS Ulysses about to dock. The power station is situated on a peninsula on the south side of the River Liffey in the docklands area. The chimneys of Ringsend Power Station remain the tallest structures in a city with very few tall buildings, and can be seen from all around Dublin Bay. They are iconic of Dublin, but may soon be surpassed in height by new towers.
