Liberty Hall overlooks the River Liffey next to Butt Bridge and is one of Dublin's most prominent landmarks. It was built in the early sixties as the headquarters of the Irish Trades Union movement. On the right is Butt Bridge and the railway loop line bridge behind it. The dome of the Custom House rises above the railway bridge. We are standing on Burgh Quay. Even after forty years, Liberty Hall is still an attractive modern-style building in a city that is known mainly for its older architecture. It's also Ireland's tallest building, but probably not for much longer. About the photos This image is from the portfolio of Aidan O'Rourke photographer writer website publisher.
