A close up of parts of two statues in front of St George's Hall, Lime Street, Liverpool. The horse's head on the left is part of the equestrian statue of Prince Albert, and on the right the statue of Nelson and the upper part of the column.
The statue of Prince Albert dates from 1866 and is by Thomas Thornycroft (Source: victorianweb.org). The Wellington column and statue is by George Anderson Lawson and was completed in 1865.
Liverpool Albert and Wellington Statues close up
Sony Alpha A350 - I have combined two images taken with the Sony 300mm zoom lens. In one the lens is focused on the horse, the other focused on the Wellington Statue. It is impossible to focus both at the same time.
