A feature of Liverpool's streets you can't fail to notice is the presence of bright purple wheelie bins, owned by Liverpool City Council. Here, photographer Imke Oppenkamp has assembled several photos of wheelie bins with pictures drawn on them, including Ash Ketchum from the Japanese cartoon show Pokemon. The photos were taken by Imke Oppenkamp in the Smithdown Road area of Liverpool.

Imke Oppenkamp is a photographer originally from Germany. She has been living in Liverpool since 2004. She studied photography and qualified in Münster, Germany. Whilst studying she had a placement with a commercial photographer. Since moving to Liverpool she has worked for a Liverpool design agency and has taken photos for the accounts of commercial clients.
