Affleck's Palace is one of Manchester's best-loved places. Manchester's alternative music and youth culture have made the city world famous. In early 2007 the future of Affleck's Palace is uncertain. If Affleck's Palace disappears, yet another important part of Manchester's unique identity will disappear with it. The city will take another step on the slow descent into corporate uniformity and blandness.
