The car park on Church Street, also referred to as Tib St car park, seen from the open car park behind Debenhams. On top of the building at the southern end is the Northern Quarter Beacon.

This is one of my least favourite though most used buildings in Manchester. Car parks don't have to be ugly, but this one is! Still, it's one of the cheapest and most convenient car parks in Manchester city centre, close to the heart of things, but 2 hours parking costs only £2.60 (2008 prices). With its tiled exterior and unimaginitive design, it is very reminiscent of the 1970s. the beacon however adds an exciting element to an otherwise mundane piece of modern architecture.
