These four unenhanced views of streets and banners captured during the Commonwealth Games 2002 were used as visual reference material by novelist Chris Simms for his 2005 book 'Killing the Beast'. He used them to gain a feel for the atmosphere on the streets of Manchester, where his novel is set. See related items
