The mills of Ancoats are among the world's first purpose-built industrial buildings to be built in the world and heralded the Industrial Revolution. Ancoats is currently under development. The final aim is to transform it into an urban village. The facades form a continuous pattern broken only by the new building in the centre, which differs in height and brick colour

Did the builders of the new apartment building which faces onto Ancoats Street not check the brick colour? It's a shame that a continuous line of old buildings is broken by a mediocre modern one. Reminds me of the broken Georgian facade on Fitzwilliam St Dublin
