The Emirates A330* airbus taxis towards the familiar outline of Manchester Airport's main terminal, with the control tower on top of the original office building constructed in 1962. The darker extension to the rear was added in the 1970's. The Emirates plane has touched down in a drizzly and overcast Manchester after its flight from sunny Dubai.

This and other images taken in overcast weather show that it isn't necessary always to shoot in bright sunshine in order to get usable photographs.
