The former church stands next to the Chester Road viaduct and can be seen along the canal basin at Castlefield. The building is currently being refitted and looks to be re-opening shortly. It's a shame that despite the magnificent vistas and wonderful new and old architecture, Castlefield is often empty of people and life. Two bars are empty and boarded up. What has gone wrong?
