Construction of the Civil Justice Centre is well advanced on 4 January 2006. The building is designed by Australian architects Denton Corker Marshall.

The Civil Justice Centre is one of the most impressive and unusual buildings to emerge in the centre of Manchester in recent years. The uneven floors jut out like open drawers of a giant filing cabinet, a fitting analogy for a building that provides facilities for legal matters.
