Manchester Central Library at dusk

The Central Library is seen here after dusk on 6 August 2000 not long after the exterior had been cleaned. The Central Library was officially opened in 1934.

For anyone interested in the history of Manchester, the place to visit is the Manchester Central Library Archives and Local Studies Unit on the first floor, or go to www.manchester.gov.uk/libraries/arls.
