Part of the Millennium Quarter area of Manchester city centre is seen here from the top of North Tower (former Highland House built 1966), just across the River Irwell. In the centre is Urbis, museum of the modern city, with the CIS Building (1962) upper left. This image captured 15.45, made live 18.05 Monday 17 May 2004. Taking this view is a long-held ambition. In my 1971 school project on Manchester's buildings I included an old postcard with this same view. Many thanks to Bruntwood Properties www.bruntwood.co.uk for allowing me access.
