Manchester Salford images from the aidan.co.uk photo portfolio

Picture: Manchester view from Tib St car park with The Birchin » Filename: ManNQtrPiccTibStVw4424.jpg

Behind Piccadilly is Tib St and the Northern Quarter. We are looking from Tib St multi-storey car park across Church St towards Piccadilly with Sacha's Hotel and Sunley tower on the left and the rear of Debenham's in the centre. On the right is The Birchin warehouse building with its New York style stepped back floors. The 'poisoned pigeons' scene in '24 Hour Party People' was filmed on the roof of these buildings which are being converted into apartments. See www.thebirchin.co.uk

I love the stepped back buildings, a kind of miniature version of New York in Manchester. This comment was quoted on the marketing website for The Birchin: www.thebirchin.co.uk
