We are looking across the junction of Palatine Rd and Lapwing Lane towards the row of shops. Lapwing Lane continues east towards Burnage and at Wilmslow Rd becomes Fog Lane. The ornate bank building on the corner is now a branch of Royal Bank of Scotland. Next to it, the former post office is a pizza restaurant. The shops further along retain cast iron awnings in the style of the Victorian era.
