Panoramic view of the Manchester skyline as seen from Moston to the north of the city. The viewpoint is the roof of MANCAT Ashley Lane. Main landmarks of the Manchester cityscape include: 111 Piccadilly (former Rodwell Tower) far left, centre left, standing well above the horizon is Sunley House, now City Tower, almost dead centre the pointed tower of Manchester Town Hall, centre right Arndale House, partially obscured by the CIS Tower, to the right, the stepped form of No1 Deansgate and on the far right in the distance, Exchange Quay in Salford Quays.

Since this photo was taken, a new shape has appeared on the Manchester skyline - the Beetham Tower
