"The Olympus Trip is perhaps the best ever compact 'point and shoot' camera. David Bailey, probably the most high profile photographer in Britain, advertised this camera during the seventies and became as well known as the camera. Needing no batteries it used solar power to automatically set the exposure and used a lens so sharp it was considered as good as those made for the professional Olympus SLR system. So basic that anyone could use them and so rugged that a school's photographer once took over 1 million pictures with one, it has remained a justifiable classic, and is now available for mere pounds."
