The Manchester Mega-Photo was the backdrop for performances by local bands at the Best of Manchester awards. The event took place at Urbis on Thursday 7 August 2008. A variety of local innovators in fashion, music and art were commended.

The giant photo provided a fitting backdrop for the bands and was lit up by a variety of coloured spotlights.
