The Manchester Evening News sponsored Wheel of Manchester and dusk sky over the city centre, as seen from the corner of Exchange Square next to Urbis. The Manchester Wheel has become one of the most popular and most photographed landmarks in Manchester. It's not easy to take an original photograph of one of the most photographed landmarks in Manchester. I just felt I wanted to exclude everything except the wheel and the sky. The wheel is turning and there is a small amount of motion blur from the shutter speed of half a second. The camera was propped up against the post supporting the pedestrian lights. I'm not keen on long exposures of the wheel as they make it seem as if it is spinning very fast. This small amount of motion blur gives an accurate indication of the actual speed of the wheel.
