On the right is the upper section of Manchester's Urbis museum of the city, illuminated by early evening sunlight. On the roof can be seen the distinctive lightning conductor, which has a red light at the end. The viewpoint is the Wheel of Manchester. Echoing the rounded end of the Urbis centre is the distincitve curved facade of the new building under construction at the bottom of Cheetham Hill Road. Urbis was completed in 2001, the building on the left dates from around 8 years later. Not many years ago it would have been difficult to imagine this scene as being Manchester.
