View looking south from Didsbury Road Heaton Mersey, Stockport, looking towards Alderley Edge. The viewpoint is from the road named Briarsmount, around a mile and a half west of Stockpor town centre. Alderley Edge is around nine miles away. We are looking across the valley of the Mersey into Cheshire, with Cheadle, Handforth and part of Wilmslow within the field of view. See Multimap. I drive along Didsbury Road every day and am always captivated with this view across north east Cheshire. In Photoshop I removed the power cables that cross the field of view.
