Stockport Town Hall was completed in the first decade of the 20th century. It underwent extensive cleaning around 2000. This is how it looked in bright snowy weather late December 2001, with a plane on its final approach to Manchester Airport flying about 1500 feet overhead. Thank you very much Stockport Metropolitan Borough for providing me with a full grant, fees and travelling expenses for four years undergraduate study at Trinity College Dublin 1976 to 1981! Those were the days!
