Four images of the historic Malinta Tunnel on the fortress island of Corregidor. The tunnel was originally built as an arms store but was later used as headquarters by both the Americans and the Japanese during WW2.

The Malinta Tunnel is one of the most impressive and atmospheric war-related places I've ever visited. The Corregidor Foundation provide an impressive light and sound show. Visitors proceed on foot along the tunnel and are presented with re- enactments of wartime events using lights, sound effects, recordings and dioramas. The tunnel is said to be haunted by the spirits of soldiers who died there. It would certainly be interesting to take a walk along the tunnel in the middle of the night.
