On Monday May 10th 2004, elections took place in the Philippines for the office of the president as well as a large number of national and regional posts. For many months in advance of election day, posters have been on display, most with photos of the candidates. Top left and right is Sonny 'SB' Belmonte, Mayor of Quezon City. Gloria Magapagal Arroyo features in the top middle poster, and below her film star Fernando Poe Jr and his running mate Loren.

If FPJ gets in as president, the Philippines will be the laughing stock of the world and its economy will deteriorate further. FPJ is a good person, but Gloria Arroyo is the only sensible choice.
