One of a series of portraits taken in Dublin October 1981. A reddish coloured domestic bulb shines on the face from the lower left. An anglepoise lamp shining from the upper right provides harsh but theatrical light. Pink, purple, emerald and white spotlight effects fill the dark areas in all four corners of the image. Intended to recreate a nostalgic mood of the 1970's, this could perhaps be used on the cover of an Easy Listening compilation album, an Edna O'Brien novel, a 1970's fashion photography spread or a film still.
