Stephen Morrin's third book is titled 'The Munich Air Disaster' and tells the story of the accident in 1958 which claimed the lives of many young members of the Manchester United Team, dubbed the Busby Babes.

Steve is also the author of 'The Day the Sky Fell Down', about the Stockport air crash of 1967 and 'The Devil Casts His Net' on the Winter Hill air disaster, 1958. . This photograph was taken by the Sidmouth Herald in 2002 when Steve was researching an aircraft accident in Devon. Steve continues:

"The aircraft in question was an Alidair Viscount flying 62 holidaymakers from Santander, Spain to Exeter. It was on a summer's evening in July 1980 when eleven miles short of the runway the airliner ran out of fuel and all four engines stopped!

Luckily the pilot new the area and made a wheels up crash landing in a field at Ottery St Mary. The only casualties were two sheep that quickly found their way into the freezers of the locals before the farmer arrived on the scene!

The prop I am holding came from the aircraft which the airline donated to the locals to be auctioned for charity.
