Terry Christian is pictured here in the BBC GMR studios on 29 December 2005 presenting the show normally hosted by Allan Beswick, who on that week was doing the breakfast show. An award-winning radio and tv journalist as well as author, Terry Christian is most famous - or infamous - for hosting the controversial youth show 'The Word' between 1990 and 1995, when it was axed. He is famous for his 'Manc' accent and mannerisms. He was born 8 May 1963, lived near Brooks Bar and went to St Bede's College. Terry Christian interviewed me on 29 December 2005. It was a very enjoyable chat, though he looked very surprised indeed when I said I don't like football.
