Panoramic view of Salford Quays or The Quays from the Air Shard, Imperial War Museum North. On the left is part of the Media City UK construction site. On the right is the office building Quay West, owned by Peel Holdings. In the centre is the Lowry Arts Centre. Manchester city centre is around three miles ahead, to the north east.

We are looking across the Manchester Ship Canal from the Trafford MBC into the Salford City Council area. The area branded as The Quays covers both banks of the Ship Canal. Many thanks to the Imperial War Museum for permission to take photos from the Air Shard. Visit the website north.iwm.org.uk.
