We are standing towards the eastern end of Alexandra Park, Edgeley, Stockport looking over some empty ground towards the rear of Edgeley Library on the left and the backs of the houses along Dale Street on the right. The spire of St Matthew's church can just be seen above the rooftops. It's around 11am on Sunday 21 February 2010, after more snow fell on northern England.

For most people this is probably an utterly unremarkable image, but here I am playing with my own ideas, particularly my childhood memories. In the early 60s I used to play in this park and went to the library. I have deliberately used a soft focus effect and captured the branches at the top. For me the effect is nostalgic. Maybe a figure, perhaps with a dog, would make the image work better.
