A giant snowman stands in Cale Green Park, Stockport. The snowman is actually the commemorative stone covered in a layer of snow with a snowball on top for the head.

During the snowy weather of late December 2009, snowmen were everywhere to be seen but this was one of the biggest!

Technical details:	What could be simpler and more straightforward than taking a picture of a snowman? But actually some thought went into this. I stood to the right of the snowman with the sun behind me, but decided to move to the left as there was more depth and a sense of volume with the sun coming from the right, giving deep shadows on the left. Even taking the simplest photograph, there are many choices that make a real difference.
