My friend Peter, a classic car enthusiast, said that as a child he
had found the VW van exciting as it looked like a plane, with its split windscreen. He
wasn't so keen on the stars which the previous owner had added on either side of the
VW logo.
It looked like a mixture of a plane and a giant owl, full of character and eccentricity. About the photos This image is from the portfolio of Aidan O'Rourke photographer writer website publisher.
